Arthur Fredrick Register, Sr.

Mr. Arthur Fredrick Register, Sr. age 87 of Denton, Ga. passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 at his home following an extended illness. A native of Brunswick, Ga. Mr. Register was born, March 2, 1927, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ollie and Mamie Ricketson Register. He lived in Miami, Fla. for many years before moving back to Georgia in 1976. Mr. Register worked in construction as a master plaster and was a member of Union Springs Baptist Church in Snipesville, Ga. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII. Mr. Register was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Metts, and 3 brothers, Milton Register, Ottis Register, and Gene Davis. Survivors include: Wife: Winnie Vaughn Register of Denton, Ga. 1 Son: Arthur F. Register, Jr. and wife Eileen of Orlando, Fla. 1 Daughter: Candace Register of Casselberry, Fla. 3 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral Service for Mr. Register was held Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Sweetwater United Methodist Church in Pearson, Ga. at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. D.Q. Pittman and Bro. Cleveland Register officiating. The interment followed in Sweetwater Cemetery.
