Patricia Lynn Horton

Mrs. Patricia Lynn Horton Head, age 50, of Valdosta, Ga., formerly of Willacoochee, Ga. passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014 in Mt. Vernon IL. following a short illness. She was born July 3, l964in Ocilla, Ga., daughter of the late Willis Jr. & Mavadell Carmichael Horton. She lived most of her life in the Willacoochee and Douglas area and worked in sales for many years and also ran her own housecleaning business. She was a member of Reedy Branch Baptist church. Survivors include: 2 Daughters: Amber Edge and husband Chris of Douglas, Ga. April Hulett and husband Robbie of Valdosta, Ga. Former Husband: Steve Head of Douglas, Ga. 5 Brothers: Olen Horton and wife Virginia of Willacoochee, Ga. Jesse W. Horton and wife Nina of Ray City, Ga. Billy Horton and wife Barbara of Adel, Ga. Darrell Horton and wife Retha of Willacoochee, Ga. Jerry Horton and wife Debbie of St. Augustine, Fl. 2 Sisters: Christell Williams Willacoochee,Ga. Christine Luke and husband Curtis of Willacoochee, Ga. 3 Grandchildren: Jaycilyn Wiggins Swayzie Edge Lakyn Hulett Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Head were held, Sunday, September 21, 2014 at 4:00 P.M. at the Willacoochee City Cemetery with Rev. Robbie Hulett and Mr. Walt Dockery officiating. A special musical number was performed by Kaylyn Prescott and Allie Mancil to the song "She's In Better Hands". The interment followed in the Willacoochee City Cemetery. . Serving as active pallbearers were: John Horton, Anthony Mancil, Danny Horton, Walt Dockery, Josh Horton, and Kevin Horton.
