OBITUARY Mr. RONALD EDWARD PARKS Mr. Ronald E. Parks age 5l of Lakeland, Ga. passed away Monday, December 15, 2014 at his residence in Lakeland following an extended illness. A native of Broward County, Fl., Mr. Parks was born February 21, l963 son of Gladys Giddens Parks and the late Jamie Parks, Sr.. He worked in the electronics field for many years, was a U. S. Navy veteran and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include: Mother: Gladys Giddens Parks of Lakeland, Ga. 4 Daughters: Jessica Parks, Michelle Parks, and Robyn Aldridge all of Moultrie, GA. Stephanie Harden of Albany, Ga. 1 Brother: Jamie E. Parks, Jr. of Hahira, Ga. 1 Sister: Bridget Coody of Valdosta, Ga. Special Friend: Mary Sue Jarvis and family of Lakeland, Ga. 9 Grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Parks were held at 2 P. M. Friday at Sunnyside Baptist Church in Kirkland, Ga. with Rev. Teddy Burch officiating. Special musical selections included, "Simple Man", "Drink a Beer" and "Brick Yard Road" all rendered by c.d. and "Amazing Grace" rendered by soloist, Kayleigh Lee, rendered acapella. Soft music for the Prelude and Postlude was provided by c.d. The interment followed in Sunnyside Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were: Rodney Hufstetler, Michael Hufstetler, Bit Hufstetler, Tony Guerrero, Church Parks and Christopher Fehling. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
