Mr. Olen Sirmans, age 81, of Clearwater, Florida, formerly of Pearson, Ga., passed away, Friday, December 12, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness. A native of Lakeland, Ga. Mr. Sirmans was born, March 20, 1933, son of Mr and Mrs. John Dobb and Avriel Browning Sirmans. He was an electrician for Gallaway Chemical Company and attended Freewill Baptist Faith. Mr. Sirmans was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Lynn Sirmans. Survivors include: Wife: Betty Roberson Sirmans of Clearwater, Fla. 1 Son: Richard Olen Sirmans and wife Kimberly of Pinellas Park, Fla. 1 Daughter: Patricia Ann Butler and husband Thomas of Kenneth City, Fla. 2 Sisters: Evelyn Zorn of Florence, S.C. Nadine Watson of Clearwater, Fla. 4 Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Graveside funeral services for Mr. Sirmans were held, Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Sunnyside Freewill Baptist Church in Pearson at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Howard Henderson officiating. Special musical selections included, "Amazing Grace" and "He Stopped Loving Her Today" rendered by c.d. The interment was held in Sunnyside Church Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were: Jamie James, David Moore, Dave Roberson, Jason Bowser, Shawn Butler, Tom Butler, Dickie James and Rick Sirmans.
