Mrs. Martha Jean Perkins, age 83 of Pearson, Ga. passed away Saturday, November 07, 2015 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga. after a short illness. A native of Berrien County, Mrs. Perkins was born September 18, 1932, daughter of Lester and Theresa Corbitt. She had made her home in Pearson for the past twenty years and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Billy Arnold and a sister, Bea Blue. Survivors include: Daughter: Rudy Storey and husband Herman of Waycross, Ga. Son: Ron Arnold of Pearson, Ga. 2 Sisters: Ethel Hatcher of Spring City, Tn. Thada Graham of Pearson, Ga. Brother: Johnny Lester Corbitt of Sylacauga, Al. Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Perkins were held Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Relihan Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Bass officiating. Special musical selections were “One Day at a Time” and “On the Wings of a Dove” presented by cd. The interment followed in Sweetwater Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were: Keith Graham, Colby Graham, Lamar McDonald, Ben Corbitt, Larry Corbitt and Richard Corbitt.
