Jessie Quincy McMillan

Mr. J.Q. McMillan, age 89 of Willacoochee, Ga. passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 at his home in Willacoochee, Ga. following an extended illness. A native of Willacoochee, Ga., Mr. Jessie Quincy (J.Q.) McMillan was born September 27, 1927, son of Quincy and Stella Tucker McMillan. Mr. McMillan was a retired farmer and attended the First Baptist Church in Willacoochee, Ga.. Mr. McMillan had been a member of the Willacoochee Masonic Lodge #197 F&AM for fifty plus years and was also a member of the Hasan Temple Shriners. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ouida Purvis McMillan and sons Joe, Gerald, and Roy McMillan. Survivors include: Son:  Jessie McMillan and wife Becky of Willacoochee, Ga. Daughter: Belinda Gibbs and husband Ira of Brookfield, Ga. 2 Sisters: Florence Futch of Willacoochee, Ga.                  Florene Bobo of McDonough, Ga. 9 Grandchildren, and 6 Great-Grandchildren and other relatives also survive. Graveside funeral services for Mr. McMillan were held Sunday, November 06, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Paulk Cemetery near Lax, Ga. with Rev. Larry Stone officiating. The interment with Masonic Rites followed in the Paulk Cemetery near Lax, Ga..   Serving as active pallbearers were: Tripp Nelson, Walt Bobo, Walt Durden, Quentin McMillan, Bill McMillan, and Trey Futch. Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
