Mr. Clarence “Cobby” Reliford, age 71 of Broxton, Ga. passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Jacksonville, Fl. following a short illness. A native of Coffee County, Mr. Reliford was born February 6, l945 son of Clarence, Sr. and Willie Mae Harrell Reliford. He had made his home in the Douglas, Broxton area for most of his life and had worked for many years as a mechanic. He was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include: 2 Brothers: Benny Reliford of Pearson, Ga. Bill Reliford of Douglas, Ga. 2 Sisters: Linda Stone of Pearson, Ga. Mary Stone of Pearson, Ga. Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive. Graveside funeral services for Mr. Reliford were held on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Royals Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Joe Stone and Rev. Levi Jones officiating. Special music included “Drinking From My Saucer”, When I Get Where I’m Going” and “Go Rest High on that Mountain” was rendered by cd music. The interment followed in Royals Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were: Chris Crosby, Ben W. Reliford, Gatlin Davis, Moses Reliford, Robbie Stone and Clarence Stone. Honorary pallbearers were Benny C. Reliford, Jr. and Christopher Gilliard, Jr. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
