Dorless "Mickey" Morris

Mr. Dorless “Mickey” Morris, age 57 of Hilliard, Fl. passed away Thursday, February 02, 2017 at the Warner Center for Caring in Fernandina Beach, Fl. following an extended illness.   A native of Atkinson County, Mr. Morris was born December 15, l959, son of Jesse and Mary Barnes Morris. He had made his home in Nassau County for many years and worked in construction as a carpenter before poor health forced him to retire. He loved dogs, especially his bulldogs.   He was preceded in death by a sister, Tracey Morris Miller.   Survivors include: Wife: Marlene Morris of Hilliard, Fl.   Parents: Jesse and Mary B. Morris of Pearson, Ga.   Brother: Jesse Edwin Morris of Yulee, Fl.   2 Sisters: Tonya Mason and husband Malcolm of Hartselle, Al.                  Melissa Williams and husband Ivan of Yulee, Fl.   Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive   Funeral services for Mr. Morris were held Tuesday, February 07, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. Harold Barnes officiating. Special music included “I’ll Fly Asway” and “Go Rest High on That Mountain” presented by cd. The interment followed in Red Bluff Cemetery.   Serving as active pallbearers were: Johnny Riggins, Nelson Morris, Thomas Mason, Keith Barnes, Jason White, Sean William, Anthony Knowles and Frank Morris.   Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
