Mrs. Collene Davis Stone, age 73 of Lakeland, Ga. passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Berrien County Nursing Center in Nashville, Ga. following an extended illness. Born March 6, l944 in Douglas, Ga., Mrs. Stone was the daughter of Allen and Dorothy Stevens Davis. She had made her home in Pearson for most of her life until moving to Lakeland seven years ago to live with her daughter. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cross word puzzles and gospel music. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Stone, and siblings, Hazel Stone, Isom Stone, Jadie Davis, W. A. Davis, Willene Arnold, Betty Carol Davis, Allan Davis, Ealie Batten and M. D. Batten. Survivors include: Children: Son: Tommy Davis and Margaret of Dupont, Ga. Daughter: Rosa Spivey and husband Reggie of Nashville, Ga. Son: Buck Stone and wife Beth of Dupont, Ga. Daughter: Cathy Raison and husband Jim of Lakeland, Ga. Daughter: Bonnie Wollitz and husband Ed of Nashville, Ga. Step-Children: Calvin Stone of Douglas, Ga. John Stone of Dupont, Ga. Brothers & Sisters: Sister: Alene Bennett of Waycross, Ga. Brother: Jimmy Davis of Douglas, Ga. Sister: Geraldine Lee of Brunswick, Ga. Brother: Orville Davis of Fl. Brother: Benny Davis of Waycross, Ga. Special Nephews: Bill Boyd and Joe Bennet both of Waycross, Ga. 11 Grandchildren, 13 Great-Grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive. Funeral Services for Mrs. Stone were held Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. Mike Sarasola officiating. Special music included “On Jordan’s Stormy Banks” rendered by Bob Langdale. “I Saw the Light” and “On the Wings of a Dove” were presented by cd. Soft music for the Prelude and Postlude was by cd. The interment followed in the Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were: Ken Stone, Chris Stone, Ken Moore, Clay Griffin, Daniel Thompson, Charles Stone and Richard Wollitz. Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
