Christine Bowen Paulk

Mrs. Christine Bowen Paulk, age 75 of Willacoochee, Ga. passed away Friday, August 04, 2017 at her home in Leliaton, Ga following an extended illness.   A native of Douglas, Ga., Mrs. Paulk was born February 14, l942, daughter of Leon and Louell Giddens Bowen. She had made her home in Atkinson County most of her life and was a homemaker.   She enjoyed gardening and keeping her yard clean and also loved to dance and shop with her friends. She attended Goodwill Assembly of God Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Paulk, son, Rocky Lee Giddens, 2 brothers, Billy Ray Bowen and Bobby Bowen and a sister, Loudean Wooten.   Survivors include:   Son: Daryl Giddens and wife Kitrina of Leliaton, Ga.   4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, and other relatives also survive.   Graveside Funeral services for Mrs. Paulk were held Sunday, August 06, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Sunnyside Cemetery with Rev. Dallen Walker officiating. Special music “Healer” and “Another Soldier is Coming Home” were rendered by Stephanie Spriggs and Angela Spriggs accompanied by cd. The interment followed in Sunnyside Cemetery.   Serving as active pallbearers were: Daryl Joshua Giddens, Michael Arnold, Lamar Jowers, Lamar Harris, Ronald Wynn and Mike Spriggs.   Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
