Bobby Gene Wright

Mr. Bobby Gene Wright, age 64, of Douglas, Ga. passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Specialty Hospital in Jacksonville, Fl. following an extended illness.   A native of Clinch County, Mr. Wright was born June 3, l953, son of Bert Wright and Juanita Henderson McKinnon. He worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator before poor health forced his retirement. After retiring he enjoyed fishing and gardening. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Katrina Lynn Wright and Cynthia Berns.   Survivors include: Wife: Penny Hilliard Wright of Douglas, Ga.   Son: Bobby Wright, Jr. and wife Laurie of Valdosta, Ga.   Daughter: Carmon Anthony of Douglas, Ga.   2 Sisters: Bertha Corbitt and husband Johnny of Pearson, Ga.                Linda Wright of Savannah, Ga.   7 Grandchildren, L. D. Berns, Casey Berns, Andrew Anthony, Blake Wright, Cameron Wright, Megan Hall and Alden Eddy, 1 Great-Grandchild, and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.   Funeral services for Mr. Wright were held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Relihan Funeral Home. with Rev. David Smith and Rev. Allen Arowood officiating. Special music included “In the Garden” and “Amazing Grace” presented by CD. Soft music for the Prelude and Postlude was by CD. The interment followed in Sunnyside Cemetery.   Serving as active pallbearers were: Micky Braddy, Robbie Stone, Tayman Stone, Mike Meeks, Andy Anderson, James Hilliard and Johnny Hilliard. Honorary pallbearers were: Shelton Graham and Sputt Tucker   Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
