Mrs. Willie Mae McNatt Joiner, age 97, of Willacoochee, Ga. passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Ga. following an extended illness. A native of Clinch County, Mrs. Joiner was born October 13, l920, daughter of Joe and Mary Emma Luke McNatt. She had made her home in Willacoochee most of her life and worked with the Culinary Department of the Atkinson County School System in Willacoochee for 27 years. After retiring, she continued to be a homemaker, cooking for her extended family which she dearly loved to do. She was a member of the Willacoochee Holiness Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Joiner and a daughter Myrtle Rowe. Survivors include: 3 Daughters: Linda Knowles and husband Phillip of Willacoochee, Ga. Katherine Mizell of Axson, Ga. Daisy Chaney and husband J.T. Of Wray, Ga. 3 Sons: Glynn Joiner and wife Pam of Willacoochee, Ga. Bobby Joiner and wife Jean of Willacoochee, Ga. Leroy Joiner and wife Betty of Willacoochee, Ga. 3 Sisters: Juanita Tryan of Oklahoma Ruby Landry of Orlando, Fl. Montez Bobo of Alabama 23 Grandchildren, 62 Great-Grandchildren, 32 Great-Great Grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Joiner were held Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 3:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church in Willacoochee, Ga. with Rev. David Rowe and Rev. Silas Carver officiating. Special musical selections included “What a Beautiful Name” and “No One Can Wear my Robe but Me” was rendered by The Carver Family with Brooke Carver accompanying at the piano. “Victory in Jesus” was offered as a congregational song with Bonnie Kunberger accompanying at the piano. Soft music for the Prelude and Postlude was by Bonnie Kunberger, pianist. The interment followed in the Willacoochee City Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were: Russell Joiner, Michael Joiner, David Chaney, Tate Griffin, Matt Austin and Jeffrey Mizell. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
