Mrs. Brenda Louise Suggs, age 67 of Nashville, Ga. passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Ga. following an extended illness. A native of Hendersonville, Tenn., Mrs. Suggs was born June 30, l950, daughter of Marshall James and Daisy Ellen Cooper Courdle. She had lived in the Nashville and Willacoochee area for most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the Willacoochee Church of God. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Brenda McQuaig and Carol Lynn Whaley and 2 sisters, Carolyn Davis and Lavonne Niesler. Survivors include: Husband: Freddy Suggs of Nashville, Ga Daughter: Denise Whaley of Nashville, Ga. 2 Brothers: Eugene Courdle and wife Mattie of Willacoochee, Ga. James Larry Courdle of Willacoochee, Ga. Sister: Earnestine Reliford and husband Leroy of Willacoochee, Ga. 4 Grandchildren: Kimberly Jewell, Trista Anderson, Kayla Kiser and Kelsey Whaley. 11 Great-Grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Suggs were held on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the Willacoochee Church of God with Rev. Lance Taylor and Rev. Charles Blair officiating. Special music included “If I Leave Before You Do Please Don’t Cry” rendered by Rev. Charles Blair with C.D. Accompaniment, “When I Get to Where I’m Going”, “Send Your Best Angel for Mama” and “Save a Place for Me” were presented by cd. Soft music for the Prelude and Postlude was by cd. The interment followed in the Willacoochee City Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were: Charles Ladson, James Suggs, Marshall Courdle, Jr., Josh Jewell, Mike Jewell, Jerry Yawn, Jr., Kevin Conger and Leroy Reliford, Jr. Honorary pallbearers were: Tony Jewell, Matt Kiser, and Rodney Blankenship. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
