Mary Evelyn Thigpen

Mrs. Mary Evelyn Thigpen age 86 of Pearson, Ga. passed away Tuesday at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga following an extended illness.   Survivors include: 2 Sons:          Jimmy Thigpen of Waycross, Ga.                         Jerry Thigpen and wife Brenda of Pearson, Ga.   Sister:           Laveen Lee and husband Ronnie of Alma, Ga.   6 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.Mrs. Thigpen is preceded in death by her husband  Lawrence Thigpen, daughter, JoAnne Carter, 3 brothers, Wilbert Rowell, W.P. Rowell, and Huey Rowell and 3 sisters, Ema Lee Thigpen, Maxine Harper, and Roseanne Rowell.   Funeral services for Mrs. Thigpen will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 09, 2018 at the Mt. Pleasant Church with Rev. Ed Gilliard and Rev. Talmadge Gilliard officiating. The interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery.   Visitation for Mrs. Thigpen will be held this evening, June 08, 2018, at Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M.Mrs. Thigpen will lie in state at the church on tomorrow, Saturday, June 09, 2018, from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour.     Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA. is in charge of the arrangements.
